A sigh echoes around the semi-dark room, shadows flutter to land on the boy with rainbow eyes. He lifts his head to gaze at the distant stars, the night sky looking like a ballroom of dancing lights. After a moment he sighs again. His rainbow eyes closing.
“I really did end up alone...”
He had been warned that his decisions could end up shredding the fragments of time and space. He has been told that if he didn't use his power in the correct way he could cause the world to collapse in on itself. If only he had listened.
“...Its all my fault. Everyone... Everyone is... Gone. Forever...”
His heart aches and he can feel tears welling up in his eyes. Rainbows blur and then shed shimmering lights to fill the grayed shadows around him. This is how things end. He pushed too far, did too much. And he screwed up.
The life he knew is over...
And if he hadn't decided to open that book.
If he didn't read that spell.
If he had listened to everyone's warnings...
